We uncovered one of the Eastern Cape’s best kept secrets – it’s the hidden gem called Wriggleswade Dam. It is located on the Kubusi River about 20km from of Stutterheim and is approximately 75km inland from East London.

The dam wall is 30 metres in height and 780 metres in length. Wriggleswade Dam has a holding capacity of 93 million cubic metres and spans over 1000 hectares. It winds its way for about 15km through the lush surrounding farmlands of the Amabele region and has steep hills on either side.
