Big props to our clients who were willing to participate in this feature, and who, without any reservations, handed their valuable products to us for assessment – no questions asked! And when we required a towboat, models or accommodation, AMPED Distributors’ Kyle Holtzhausen and his team were eager to help out wherever they could.
Our venue, the breathtakingly beautiful Bronkhorstspruit Dam boasted some amazing scenery, calm waters and a tranquil, holiday atmosphere that provided the perfect setting for our shoot. About an hour’s drive from Pretoria, Bronkies features lush green banks, easy slipway access and dedicated marshals that were adamant about water safety.
As always, we took the utmost precaution when using these toys. Lifejackets were donned, our skipper and boat were certified and we were constantly on the lookout for any possible dangers that may occur. Leisure Boating urges all our readers to practice extreme caution when out on the water. Pictures on these pages illustrate what happens when you tow the inflatables well over double the recommended speed, luckily no riders were hurt during the making of this feature.
