Langebaan is one of the favourite holiday destinations in South Africa offering warm turquoise waters that flow gently in and out of the lagoon. From the beauty of the West Coast National Park to the rustic fisherman’s cottages, Langebaan offers a wonderful mix of scenic beauty with that small town feel.

During the annual west coast flower season between July and September, the landscape is transformed into an explosion of colour when the wild flowers are in bloom. And once you’ve had your fill of floral fantasy, keep and eye out for the majestic Southern Right Whales in the bay who return to calve each year.
The small settlement of Churchhaven and the pretty Kraalbaai are both easily reached by paddling or sailing across the lagoon, or by road through the national park. Kraalbaai is home to many houseboats which can be rented for those wanting to have a holiday on the water.
